Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

- Chris Knight,

With a title that sounds as though Mission Impossible and Paranormal Activity had a baby, The Ghost Dimension is the sixth and, reportedly, the final chapter in a series that burst into cinemas in 2007, earning north of $100-million on a budget of little more than the price of a used Toyota Tercel. Since then, the budgets have gone up and the returns have come down, though the gap is still one a bean counter could love: Paranormal V (a.k.a. The Marked Ones) made $58-million on a budget of one-10th of that. Ghost Dimension imagines a new family who move into a house, discover a cache of videotapes and learn the spooky answers to all those nagging questions that have been piling up for the last eight years and five movies.
