RANKING ALL THE FAST FOODS

Another infiltrator from the south, this purveyor of pro bono peanuts is in the business of binary burgers, meaning the Little Hamburger features a lone patty instead of the usual two. “Everything in excess is opposed to nature,” said the notably rotund Hippocrates. Simply put: always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

It is rare to find a box of curly fries at any given national food chain in Canada, unless you have the fortune of stumbling into the odd Arby’s, where curly fries are not only an optional side, but side. Do they have regular fries? Who knows? Who cares! Forget the classic roast beef sandwich, it’s the curly fries your mouth lusts for, as tightly and widely ringleted as Shirley Temple’s famous locks or Justin Timberlake’s at the peak of his NSYNC days, these fries are not just delicious, they’re adorable.

While fried chicken may be considered Popeyes’ specialty, the chain’s cajun fries deserve more than an honourable mention. Even with sizeable portions, it’s the special seasoning that makes the fry here, just tangy enough that they don’t verge on too spicy, making them desirable not only to the heat-loving crowd, but those who cower closer to the ketchup. One skinny dip in Popeyes’ Sweet Heat Louisiana sauce and these fries could shoot a few notches higher. Consider them just the tip of greatness for those a little too afraid to go deeper.
