One might believe the only thing worth saying, incessantly, about Henry Cavill’s robust moustache is how handsome it was. Cavill grew the moustache for his role in the upcoming Mission: Impossible, and was not permitted to shave it while doing Justice League reshoots, as he was still expected back on the set of Mission. This forced Warner Bros. to remove it digitally, leaving more than a few very awkward and much-mocked shots of the actor looking oddly bareskinned above the lip. Now that both films have long since wrapped, Cavill’s ‘stache is no longer with us, but that doesn’t mean it’s been forgotten. Fans mourn the disappearance of the facial hair — and in an interview with Empire this week, so does Cavill. “I’d grown quite fond of it over time, but I’m also very happy to have my own face back.”
