SAHAR HAGHJOO AND DAUGHTER ELSA JADIDI

- Tyler Dawson, National Post

Sahar Haghjoo, a 37-year-old

immigrant from Iran, worked at the Toronto YWCA to help women over 13 years of age and new to Canada find jobs, housing and skills training in their new home.

She “touched many lives and we are deeply shocked and saddened,” said Firoozeh Radjai, an executive at the YWCA. “Saha was a beautiful person inside and out.”

Haghjoo and her eightyear-old daughter, Elsa Jadidi, had gone to Iran for the holidays. The father had come back to Canada about a week ago, Radjai said, and had been expecting to meet them at the airport. “Her clients loved her, we are devastated,” she said. “It has been a difficult day and a half.”

Elsa, said a Facebook post from Wali ul Asr Learning Institute, an Islamic school in Ontario, was a student until last year.
