A Message from Medtech Canada on COVID-19
As the leading national association representing the medical technology industry in Canada, we asked Medtech Canada for their statement on COVID19 as we felt it was important to educate the public on this pandemic. Here is their message: “The health and well-being of Canadians is of the utmost importance to Medtech Canada. Our members provide products and technologies that are of critical importance to the delivery of health care such as diagnostic tests that enable the diagnosis of disease, personal protective equipment for front-line health care workers and respiratory support equipment that aid in the healing of the sick.
Our association is working closely with government departments of health and economic development across Canada to facilitate connections with companies and proactively seek to ensure the continuity of critical areas of the health care supply chain.
The medical technology community is here for Canadians to serve in the best interest of our collective health and safety. We will continue working with our government and health system partners everyday to assist in any way we can to address COVID-19 and maintain the health of Canadians.
