Nuclear solutions
Re: Ottawa puts faith in nuclear reactors, Dec. 19
One major problem with nuclear power generation is the disposal of spent nuclear fuel, potentially contaminating the surrounding dump site. That problem is solved by burying the spent fuel deep underground in the radioactive ground from which the ore was mined before refinement. Thus uranium or radium mining sites would be ideal. Small modular reactors, using technology similar to that used for nuclear submarines, are an excellent idea.
