APPLE WOOING CAREY FOR MAGICAL CHRISTMAS SEQUEL

-

A sequel to Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special is reportedly in the works. The Apple TV+ program launched on Dec. 4 and hit No. 1 on the charts in more than 100 countries. It features performances by stars including Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg and Jennifer Hudson and, according to British newspaper The Sun, it cost more than $4.9 million to make. “Bosses at Apple now want to secure her for another special show next year. Mariah's team are, of course, completely behind it, and everyone is going to do what they can to make it happen,” sources said. “They spent over $4 million on this year's show but next year this could go even higher. Apple knows the worth of (Carey), shown, and are willing to splash the cash to make a followup even bigger and better.”
