PAGING DR. WHOOPI

Whoopi Goldberg says she has always been a fan of cult sci-fi series Doctor Who and pitched the idea of a U.S. spinoff to former Doctor, Tom Baker. “I wanted to be the first female Doctor, but they have one (Jodie Whittaker),” she said. “We don't have a Doctor Who in the U.S. I always hope, when I go to England, the BBC will say, `Hey, we want you to do something (on Doctor Who)'.”
