NO SAMANTHA IN SEX AND THE CITY REVIVAL

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will star in a Sex and the City revival — but without Kim Cattrall or her character, Samantha Jones. Parker, shown, who played writer Carrie Bradshaw in the TV series and movies, confirmed the news on Sunday by posting a teaser on Instagram. The 10-episode limited series, titled And Just Like That ..., will stream on HBO Max and film later this spring. When one fan suggested Cattrall wasn't returning because Parker didn't like her, Parker replied: “No, I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn't part of this story. But she will always be part of us.” Nevertheless, Nixon is reviving her role as Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis will be back as Charlotte York Goldenblatt. Sex and the City director Michael Patrick King will return as executive producer. Cattrall confirmed she would not reprise her character several years ago when Parker first talked about the project.
