POSTMEDIA CHAIR GODFREY TAPPED FOR BRAGG GAMING BOARD
Bragg Gaming Group has appointed Paul Godfrey, founder and chairman of Postmedia Network Canada Corp., to its board of directors. Toronto-based Bragg owns ORYX gaming, an online gambling platform and managed services provider. The company is traded on the TSX Venture Exchange with a market capitalization of $179 million. In November, Ottawa introduced legislation to decriminalize betting on a single sport event. Under current laws, bettors in Canada must wager on multiple sports events. Bragg said in a press release Godfrey, shown, former chair of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., would help guide the firm's strategy in the evolving market for single-event sports betting. “Paul's extensive experience in the media, gaming and sports worlds will be invaluable,” said Bragg CEO Adam Arviv.
