DEBRA MESSING WANTS TO BE LUCY

Debra Messing wants to play comedy queen Lucille Ball in Aaron Sorkin's film Being the Ricardos. Nicole Kidman is a frontrunner for the role; Javier Bardem will portray Ball's ex and I Love Lucy costar Desi Arnaz. Messing won acclaim for her take on Ball in the final season of Will & Grace. One fan tweeted that “Messing … can play comedy AND drama … Nic cannot.”
