NETFLIX SERIES BRIDGERTON TO RETURN

Netflix's period drama Bridgerton is officially coming back for Season 2. The news comes less than a month after the series premièred. Netflix made the announcement in the form of one of Lady Whistledown's society papers, writing: “I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion.” Based on the popular books by Julia Quinn, the series stars Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor, along with Julie Andrews providing voice-overs. Season 2 will follow the second in Quinn's series, The Viscount Who Loved Me. Production is set to start in the spring. Bridgerton debuted on Christmas Day, reaching 63 million households within its first month. Set in Regency-era London, and following the love lives of those in British high society, it's the first project from Shonda Rhimes' multi-year deal with the streaming platform.
