Why is all the news bad?

Dear Editor,

My name is Aurelio and I am eight years old. I like chemistry and physics and have three brothers.

I am writing to tell you that I read the National Post and have observed it is all news about bad things happening. I suggest you write about more happy things. There are some, right?

I now do not read the newspaper because of all the bad things in it. Sometimes I look at it, and regret doing that because I know that COVID-19 is going up or somebody died. Also, if you are reporting about Donald Trump and Joe Biden, you should talk about BOTH sides of Trump, good and bad. Same goes for Biden. Do not be like the major news channels in the United States where if they like Biden they only say he's good and Trump evil.

You probably think it's crazy that an eight-year-old is writing to you about politics but I think that I have a good reason to.
