`An ugly story'

Re: The cancelling of Jessica Mulroney, Barbara Kay, Jan. 23

Neither Jessica Mulroney nor Sasha Exeter are on my limited radar. Nor are Twitter or Instagram or most forms of social media.

But I do understand the concepts of truth and justice (although justice is not the word I would choose to describe any part of this story).

What I saw was a miscarriage of justice, a trial by social media, and the destruction of a young woman's career and her mental health aided by a media company that withheld pertinent information and left her life in tatters. It's an ugly story.

All the players (save Ms. Mulroney) seem to have been accessories. As for the journalists who refused to entertain anything akin to unbiased journalism, they bring shame to their profession. Elizabeth Sharp, Vancouver
