5 SAG NOMINATIONS FOR SCHITT'S CREEK, THE CROWN

Hollywood's Screen Actors Guild has nominated the casts of the movies Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, pictured, Da 5 Bloods, Minari, One Night in Miami and The Trial of the Chicago 7 in the top movie category of the SAG Awards. Canadian sitcom Schitt's Creek tied with The Crown with five nominations apiece in the SAG TV category. The CBC hit had on Wednesday scored five Golden Globe nominations, including Globe acting nominations for all four lead performers — Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy — and a fifth nomination for comedy series. The SAG Awards focus solely on acting, and the Schitt's SAG nominations were similar: acting nods for each of the four leads and a separate nomination for the ensemble cast. The SAG Awards will be handed out at a ceremony on April 4.
