The `noise' Trudeau hears is hearts breaking

Re: Vaccines are on the way, PM assures, Feb. 6

I have just participated in a Zoom funeral for a warm and generous man who died on Saturday due to complications from COVID-19. Known as “Grandpa” to his family and many friends, he worked in the accounting firm he founded until he went into isolation when COVID-19 hit.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau assures us that the vaccine plan is “on track” and dismisses concerns as “a lot of noise.” In the United States and the U.K., people of Grandpa's age have been vaccinated over the past number of weeks. Had Grandpa lived in either of those countries he likely would be alive today and preparing his business for the upcoming tax season.

Mr. Prime Minister, the “noise” you hear is actually the breaking hearts of the families left behind.
