NFL' S SHERMAN ARRAIGNED ON DOMESTIC CHARGES
Free agent NFL cornerback Richard Sherman has been arraigned in connection with his arrest this week. Prosecutors in King County, Wash., filed documents Friday charging the former All-Pro with driving under the influence, resisting arrest, endangering roadway workers and two domestic violence counts — second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree malicious mischief. The 33-year-old Sherman was arrested in Redmond, Wash., after attempting to break into his in-laws' house early Wednesday. He was released Thursday without bail. He issued a statement Friday before the hearing. “I am deeply remorseful for my actions on Tuesday night,” Sherman said. “I behaved in a manner I am not proud of. I have been dealing with some personal challenges over the last several months, but that is not an excuse for how I acted. The importance of mental and emotional health is extremely real and I vow to get the help I need.” Sherman reportedly was upset that his children were taken from him.
