-

Tampa Bay Lightning rightwing Nikita Kucherov, Chicago Blackhawks centre Connor Bedard, and Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury have been named the NHL's three stars of the week.

Kucherov led the league with seven points (two goals) in two games. Kucherov increased his season total to 114 points in 66 games.

The Edmonton Oilers signed Canadian university goalie Connor Ungar to a two-year, entry-level contract. Ungar posted a 20-6-0 record, a 2.15 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage in his rookie season at Brock University.

The 22-year-old from Calgary was named the OUA's goaltender and rookie of the year.

New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is expected to play in Wednesday night's exhibition against Pittsburgh after an eight-day layoff caused by an abdominal injury while leadoff hitter DJ LeMahieu's status for opening day is unclear because of a sore foot.

Judge hasn't taken batting practice or played since March 10, when he struck out in both at-bats against Atlanta. LeMahieu fouled a ball off his right foot on Saturday and a CT scan found no break.

Boxing great Roberto Duran has received a pacemaker after he was hospitalized on the weekend, his family said. The 72-year-old Duran suffered health issues on Saturday due to an atrioventricular blockage.

One of his sons, Robin Duran, said his father needed the pacemaker because his heartbeats were “a bit irregular.”
