Gwynne Dyer should run for office
To the editor:
Having been a longtime reader of the North Bay Nugget, I wonder why politicians do not denounce Gwynne Dyer’s recourse on world situations.
Someone should encourage him to run for public office, or mentor NATO. He is so on, commenting on world events. We have many think-tanks making cryptic offers of advice, but just seems to be that. People who have been around and seem to be credible persons to listen to and maybe take some of their advice.
Our government seems, in my opinion, to resort to holding community hall meetings, looking for our lowly advice only when they don’t have answers to Canada’s problems.
We numerous people get stuck with more misadventures, being higher gas prices, taxes, new meters, parking meter fines. (Or mistaken loans to a country, forgiven to pay us back by the higher ups.)
