Happy hour

North Toronto Post - - Currents -

Baby, it’s cold outside. When the chilly season descends on the city, northern dwellers like us seek out the light. We burn logs inside holes in our walls, we get special light bulbs to approximate the glare of the sun, and we vacation. A lot. But, now we have a new option for beating back the darkness. Happy Place is a new, pop-up interactive exhibit that is designed to, basically, turn that wintry frown upside down with massive installations and multi-sensory theme rooms. Who wouldn’t want to mess around in the world’s largest indoor confetti dome or dive into a “pot of happiness” off of a 20-foot-tall double rainbow or hit the immersive Superbloom Room with 40,000 flowers. Happy Place runs Nov. 1 to Jan. 1 at Harbourfront Centre.

C’MON GET HAPPY Exhibit features 20,000 square feet of whimsical spaces.
