A 34-year-old male suspect has been arrested for the sexual assault of a 32-year-old female victim. On Nov. 13, at approximately 8 p.m. the victim was at the Sheppard West subway station when she was approached by a suspect who sexually assaulted her. The Toronto Police Service (TPS) was then informed and released security camera images of the male suspect. On Nov. 19, police were able to identify the suspect based on tips provided by the public. He was arrested and charged.
A person posing as a representative from “Canada Immigration” called a victim in 53 Division in November and informed him there was a warrant for his arrest. A demand was made for payment in bitcoin. When the victim did not comply, he received a second call from a person claiming to be a member of Toronto Police Service (TPS), stating there was a warrant for the victim’s arrest. The victim then notified TPS, wherein an officer advised that both calls were fraudulent.
A 26-year-old male suspect has been arrested after allegedly assaulting two TTC passengers at the Spadina subway station. On Nov. 17, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a suspect sprayed an unknown substance on two victims travelling on the subway. One suffered redness and irritation to the eyes and was taken to hospital for treatment. On Nov. 19, at 4 p.m., officers arrested a male suspect and charged him with two counts of administering a noxious substance and assault with a weapon.
