Toronto Police Service
is seeking public assistance in identifying multiple male suspects as part of an attempted murder investigation. On Sept. 23, two groups of males got into an altercation at a pub near Madison Avenue and Bloor Street West. They had been thrown out of the pub, and one group followed a 27-year-old male victim to a nearby parking lot, where they stabbed the victim and repeatedly assaulted him. One of the suspects picked up a large boulder and struck him with it. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
A 90-year-old male victim
has been pronounced dead as the result of a personal injury collision that occurred on Castlefield Avenue in late September. The victim was operating his personal mobility device on the sidewalk and began to cross the intersection from the south when a 58-year-old female suspect, driving eastbound, struck him with her vehicle. He fell off his mobility device and struck his head on the ground. Police were called, and the victim was transported to hospital with head injuries. On Oct. 9, he succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
A man has been arrested
and charged with two counts of making child pornography, and distribution and possession of child pornography. On Oct. 11, members of the TPS Sex Crimes unit executed a search warrant at his home around the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. As a result of the evidence, the police allege that, through the use of the search function of a social media application, the 30-year-old suspect was able to create, distribute, possess and access child sexual abuse material.
