A 22-year-old male suspect has been arrested following an auto theft and collision incident. On the morning of Dec. 13,Toronto Police Service officers answered a call around 3 a.m. regarding a reported auto theft in the area of Spadina Avenue and College Street and discovered a taxi driver’s vehicle had been stolen at gunpoint. They were able to track down the vehicle to the area of Clanton Park Road and Wilson Heights Boulevard where the suspect had crashed it into a home, suffering a serious injury requiring hospital attention. The investigation is ongoing.
Toronto Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted in a sexual investigation. On Dec. 3, police responded to a call at Fairview Mall at around 7 p.m. to find out a 23-year-old female victim had been approached by an unknown suspect, who grabbed her from behind, sexually assaulting her before fleeing the area. The victim had finished shopping and was about to head home. They have released camera images on their website. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact authorities.
Toronto Police Service is trying to locate a vehicle and two suspects in relation to suspicious activities being reported in the Leslie Street and York Mills Road area. On Dec. 12, investigators reported that an 11-year-old male victim walking down Leslie Street was approached by a vehicle. The female suspect in the passenger seat invited the victim into the car, but he refused. The driver of the vehicle, a male suspect, drove off once the victim refused to get in the car. Police require assistance in identifying the vehicle, a light-coloured sedan, as well as the two suspect.
