Breanna Clarke has had her best year yet raising funds for the Janeway Children’s Hospital.

On Saturday, May 12 the 10 year old held the fifth annual Breanna’s Walk for the Janeway in Main Brook, in the process raising a grand total of $3,600.

This is the highest total she’s raised in a single year.

Through her walk, Breanna’s goal is to help the sick children of Newfoundland and Labrador receive needed care at the Janeway in St. John’s.

Breanna and her mother, Regina Bromley-Clarke, thanked everyone who came out for the walk-a-thon and those who donated refreshments.

They also extended appreciation to everyone who supported Breanna’s other fundraising projects, including a rummage sale and two bingos, receiving donations from as far away as Labrador City and Fort McMurray, Alta.

Breanna will be presenting the sizeable donation at the Janeway Telethon in Corner Brook on Sunday, June 3, between 10-10:30 am.

Along on the walk with Breanna (left) was four-year-old Sara Smith. It is children like Sara that Breanna is helping through her fundraising efforts. At birth, Sara was diagnosed with a number of congenital heart defects

Everybody out for the walk for the Janeway Children’s Hospital on a sunny day.
