285 Leif Eriksen Sea Cadets perform impressive display
The RCSCC 285 Leif Eriksen Sea Cadet squadron delivered its 36th annual ceremonial review on June 6.
The cadets were inspected on the occasion by reviewing officer, LCdr Gerald Hartley.
In addition to inspection, the cadets presented junior drill team, band, senior drill and colour party displays. There was also a moving memorial tribute to former sea cadet Danny Burden who has passed away. Regulating Petty Officer Caleb Burden drums on the cymbals during the band display. Caleb won Best Staff Cadet.
Petty Officer Second Class Rikita Twyne and Petty Officer Second Class Patrick Humby perform as flag bearers during the sea cadets’ March Past. Rikita won Best Dressed Cadet, Best Colour Party Cadet and the Lord Strathcona Trust Medal.
Petty Officer Second Class Rikita Twyne, Petty Officer Second Class Patrick Humby and Petty Officer First Class Tracy Bussey bear flags during the March Past. Tracy won the Legion Medal of Excellence.
Able seaman Kobe Peyton played glockenspiel during the sea cadets’ band display. Kobe won Best First Year Cadet.
