Aug. 8-12 Bakeap­ple Folk Fes­ti­val, Labrador Straits

The 39th an­nual Bakeap­ple Folk Fes­ti­val will kick off with a Re­mem­ber­ing the HMS Raleigh event at Point Amour. The rest of the week will be filled with tra­di­tional food, games, a bon­fire, sto­ries, lo­cal mu­sic and dance.

En­glee Come Home Year Open­ing cer­e­monies will take place on Aug. 12. Ac­tiv­i­ties through­out the week in­clude old-fash­ioned En­glee Day with games and prizes, open mic night, screech-ins for new­com­ers, dances, a gospel fest, tal­ent/ va­ri­ety show, com­mu­nity bon­fire, food sales and more.
