Manic and marvellous multi-tasking artiste-about-town, thrower of off-the-wall theme parties and cofounder of pioneering Ontario indie label Three Gut Records. Where’s the best place to find cheap art supplies?

“I love walking down Spadina south of College. There are some good art supply stores, like Gwartzman’s and

Daniel’s, but I find my favourite things in the corners of Chinatown – the cheapest ‘supplies’ I use are usually found on the ground.”

What’s the best low-key bar for a clandestine makeout session?

“I’ve had some good moments at the

Communist’s Daughter (1149 Dundas West , 647-435-0103) drinking bourbon and listening to the jukebox. Those stairs are a bit tricky and good to fall down if you’ve got someone to catch you – and I think you can still hear your songs playing, even when you’re on the stairs.”
