Chris Coculuzzi and Rox­anne Deans have a string of Fringe cred­its go­ing back more than a decade, as driv­ing forces be­hind pro­duc­tions of Shake­speare’s Sports Canon (Coculuzzi) and Lear’s Daugh­ters and Cloud Tec­ton­ics (Deans). They col­lab­o­rated on a fine out­door ver­sion of Cyrano De Berg­erac in the 2004 Fringe. They’re back with Piec­ing To­gether Pauline, a look at charis­matic 19th cen­tury opera singer Pauline Viar­dot, who pi­o­neered the idea of the com­bi­na­tion of mod­ern artist and ca­reer busi­ness­woman.

Elva Mai Hoover and Kris­ten Zaza both play Viar­dot, who in­flu­enced the lives of Ge­orge Sand, Fred­eric Chopin and Ivan Tur­genev, among oth­ers.

From July 5 at the Tar­ragon Mainspace.
