Garden Days June 16 to June 24

Ontario Gardener Magazine - - LOCAL DIRT -

Garden Days is a relatively new event that takes place in June across Canada. Even in the coolest zones (except for the arctic), mid to late June is the beauty time. Gardens are flush and fresh, an ideal time to get involved in a garden social event in your neighbourhood.

This celebration is sponsored by the Garden Council of Canada. The Council manages: Canada’s Garden Route, Garden Days, Garden Tourism Conference and Garden Tourism Awards.

In Ontario, the spokesperson for this event is Sean James a design consultant who specializes in sustainable landscaping. The Ontario Board member is Harry Jongerden, executive director of the Toronto Botanical Garden. If you or your local garden club would like to get involved, contact Michael Gauthier at director@gardencouncil.ca
