Tories have green plan for cities, organizations
The Conservative government is designing a plan to offer incentives for cities and organizations that take their own initiatives to reduce greenhouse gases, Environment Minister Rona Ambrose said yesterday. Ms. Ambrose said many cities are not getting credit for their existing investments on energy efficiency plans for the environment. She wants to set up a system that would allow them to profit from their efforts on an emissions trading market. “ It’s just another way to get people involved,” Ms. Ambrose said in an interview.
