Cardiac arrhythmia

Re: Potentially fatal heart conditions missed all the time, Oct. 23.

This article is both informative and timely. As the article so aptly points out, children and seemingly healthy young adults can be at risk for a cardiac arrest if they are unknowingly predisposed to an inherited rhythm disorder.

It is important to note that when these conditions are correctly identified and treated, cardiac arrest can be averted and normal life expectancy is often the norm.
