Culpepper asks union for help
Quarterback Daunte Culpepper has asked the National Football League Players’ Association for help in his bid to secure his release from the Miami Dolphins. A day after he was informed by the Dolphins that he would not be able to participate in team drills at the club’s minicamp, Culpepper issued a statement saying he would like to be released as quickly as possible. The Dolphins acquired quarterback Trent Green from the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday. However, rather than releasing Culpepper, the team apparently prefers to test his trade value.
