Ford, UAW hold meeting

Ford Motor Co. and United Auto Workers officials met yesterday in Detroit to discuss how the world’s third-largest automaker is adjusting to falling truck sales and a slowing economy. The gathering comes after CEO Alan Mulally said last month Ford is slashing truck output and increasing car production as U.S. gasoline tops $4 US a gallon.
