GreenField plans de-icing fluid factor y

Canada’s top ethanol producer, GreenField Ethanol, plans to build a plant in Hensall, Ont., that will use grain-derived glucose to make deicing fluid for airport runways and roads. GreenField and U.S.-based DNP Green Technology, both privately owned, said on Thursday they intend to be partners in the $50-million plant, with GreenField operating it. The companies are seeking government funding and are also looking to license technology to produce the acid.
