BLOW, BLOW THOU WINTER WIND

-

Pedestrians in the Byward Market are blown along the sidewalk Saturday as Environment Canada reported gusts as high as 90 kilometres per hour in some areas. The extreme southwest winds, caused by a cold front associated with an intense storm system moving across southern Ontario, knocked out power for as many as 2,918 residents. Sunday is expected to be cloudy with flurries, but with normal northwesterly winds at 20 km/h.
