Hiring Portman means money in the bank
Black Swan star Natalie Portman is the belle of the box office, according to research compiled by Forbes.
Movies that star the 31-year-old actress earn Hollywood executives $42.70 for every dollar she is paid, the magazine said.
That is the highest in the industry.
The figures were compiled from her three most recent starring performances, including Black Swan, which grossed $329 million from a budget of $13 million.
The survey, which ignored her supporting role in Thor, found that while Your Highness was a flop, No Strings Attached earned $150 million with the filmmakers spending $25 million.
Portman, who has dual AmericanIsraeli citizenship and started acting at the age of 13, surpassed Kristen Stewart, the star of the Twilight films, who returns $40.60 for every dollar she earns per movie.
Shia LaBeouf is the third most bankable. Robert Pattinson is fourth, followed by Daniel Radcliffe.
