Hir­ing Port­man means money in the bank


Black Swan star Natalie Port­man is the belle of the box of­fice, ac­cord­ing to re­search com­piled by Forbes.

Movies that star the 31-year-old ac­tress earn Hol­ly­wood ex­ec­u­tives $42.70 for ev­ery dol­lar she is paid, the mag­a­zine said.

That is the high­est in the in­dus­try.

The fig­ures were com­piled from her three most re­cent star­ring per­for­mances, in­clud­ing Black Swan, which grossed $329 mil­lion from a bud­get of $13 mil­lion.

The sur­vey, which ig­nored her sup­port­ing role in Thor, found that while Your High­ness was a flop, No Strings At­tached earned $150 mil­lion with the film­mak­ers spend­ing $25 mil­lion.

Port­man, who has dual Amer­i­canIs­raeli cit­i­zen­ship and started act­ing at the age of 13, sur­passed Kris­ten Ste­wart, the star of the Twi­light films, who re­turns $40.60 for ev­ery dol­lar she earns per movie.

Shia LaBeouf is the third most bank­able. Robert Pat­tin­son is fourth, fol­lowed by Daniel Rad­cliffe.
