Homeowners Tom Hum and Dani Filteau have used Westend Bath and Kitchen for both a bathroom and a kitchen renovation, and couldn’t be happier.
“We visited several renovation centres that ranged from big box stores, to highend renovators,” says Dani. “Many designs were ‘over the top,’ or dated, or just too expensive for us. She calls it “the best decision bar none!” The couple found kitchen designer Rebecca Neale a great help, incorporating all their wish list items into the new kitchen. “Westend’s excellent showroom provided many great ideas and inspiration,” she says. “The construction trades were on time, professional, and clean; this is very important as you are trying to still live in your home. After construction updates and support have also been excellent. We’ve recommended Westend to several friends and colleagues.”
Another Ottawa South family’s vision was fulfilled by designer Judy Staniszewski o Westend Bath and Kitchen. “They had been working with a kitchen company for a year and plans had fallen through,” says Judy. “The mother and daughter came in to see me one Saturday afternoon. They had a vision of what they wanted, and were able to quickly make their choices from cabinets, colours, styles, and granite countertops.”
While the family previously had very dark kitchen cabinetry with olive green tiling, Westend transformed it into a very pretty modern kitchen, with attractive wood beams. “We opened up the walls between the dining room and kitchen with an archway and decorative corbels (architectural ornaments) which allows a lot of light to come through.”
