PM’S tweet: Breakfast with the cat

Stephen Harper starts his day with breakfast with his cat, Stanley, according to his official Twitter account, which marked the first day back in the House of Commons with a series of tweets of what a typical day looks like for the prime minister. Using the hash tag #dayinthelife, the posts included a short video of Harper’s limo ride to work, photos of lunch at his desk that included fruit and a Diet Coke, and his breakfast with Stanley by his side. He even took requests, highfiving fellow Conservative MP Michelle Rempel in the hall after she publicly hoped for such an encounter via her own Twitter account. Monday’s effort was prompted by the common question of what a day in Harper’s life is like, said spokeswoman Julie Vaux.
