Falling further in debt
Re: Tax freedom day earlier for firms, Jan. 30. Just wondering if tax freedom day comes sooner and sooner each year for corporations, will there be a point when the freedom day will be Jan. 1? (i.e. no taxes owed).
As corporations hoard the money, we taxpayers are giving them in subsidies and tax breaks, Canadians are falling further in debt. The conservatives really do take good care of their friends, while telling us normal folk to eat cake. Marie Antoinette had nothing on them.
The one per cent make 10 per cent of income in Canada. Still our government keeps giving them handouts, while a single mother in Atlantic Canada can’t find a job under EI rules because she hasn’t got a car in an area with little public transport (so they’ve cut her benefits). This simply must change.
