Alanis Morissette has helped design a groovy label for Kiehl’s

Gel Cream, in support of Earth Day and Evergreen, a not-forprofit organization whose mission is to create sustainable Canadian cities. “As a Canadian, I am so proud to be partnering with Kiehl’s Canada in their support of Evergreen,” Morissette said in a release. All of the proceeds from the sale of the cream, which is paraben, silicone and dye-free, will be used by Evergreen to facilitate local and sustainable greening projects in schoolyards, parks and communities. The Limited Edition Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream ($56, 125mL) is available at Holt Renfrew and kiehls.ca.

Hyaluronic acid, the latest buzz word in the beauty biz, is a sugar naturally found lying in the body’s connective tissues and deeper layers of the skin. As we age, the body produces less of it. In the race to nourish and hydrate skin, Indeed Laboratories has unveiled hydraluron, a moisture-boosting serum containing “the world’s purest hyaluronic acid.” The Canadian company says their topical moisturizer, which contains a bio-engineered strain of marine red algae, provides below-surface hydration and is inspired by injectable hydration treatments used by clinics in Switzerland. Apply a small amount over your entire face before applying other moisturizing creams. Hydraluron is exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart. 30mL, $23.99.
BLUR OUT IMPERFECTIONS
Be picture perfect with nanoblur, another product by Indeed Laboratories, says its diffusing cream will correct the appearance of aging and the look of crow’s feet and sagginess within 40 seconds or less. The water-based formula can be applied over top liquid makeup or under powder makeup. It is free of colour, parabens or sodium lauryl sulphate. Shoppers Drug Mart. 30mL, $19.99.
