Natural gas leak closes Renfrew Avenue for much of day
A natural gas leak Tuesday morning closed Renfrew Avenue between Lyon and Percy Streets for most of the day. Ottawa Fire Services said they received a call for a natural gas leak just before 11 a.m. at a home on Renfrew Avenue, just two blocks south of the Queensway. Firefighters determined the leak came from underneath the house, and Ottawa Hydro and Enbridge Gas were called to the scene. The leak was addressed and the streets reopened by 4:30 p.m., officials said.
