Ottawa man killed in Merrickville crash

A 34-year-old Ottawa man was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Merrickville Monday night. Police said the man was driving a Toyota Corolla east on County Road 43 near County Road 23 around 9:35 p.m. The initial investigation revealed the vehicle left the road, hit the ditch and struck several trees before landing on its roof. Courtice Douglas Eastabrook, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
