I congratulate McGuinty

Re: Public money, partisan advertising, Nov. 14.

Congratulations to Ottawa South MP David McGuinty. His proposed legislation mentioned in this Citizen editorial on ending the partisan misuse of public funds is excellent. It is about time the present government stop wasting our tax dollars for partisan use. Canadians do not need advertisement by the government to find out how things are getting better.

We are able to see how the government is doing from the media. Canadians are seeing that our hardearned tax dollars are being spent on advertising Conservative government’s achievements.

The Conservative majority should have the courage to support McGuinty’s proposal or amend it, if necessary to make it better as suggested by the editor.

We need more politicians like McGuinty to ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely for the benefit of Canada; not for the government in power.
