Firefighter rescues woman from second-floor window

A 12-unit apartment building in Buckingham was evacuated after a fire broke out Thursday night. When firefighters arrived at 375 rue des Pins around 7:30 p.m., flames and smoke were coming from the entrance. One tenant was unable to get out of a second-floor apartment. She was rescued from her kitchen window by a firefighter on a ladder. No one was injured, but officials estimated damage at $200,000.
