Man killed in Rideau Lakes Township crash

A 34-year-old man is dead after he lost control of his car in Rideau Lakes Township and crashed into a ditch Thursday night. The man, identified by police as Timothy Whitney, was driving north on Rideau Ferry Road around 11:30. Whitney was thrown from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Police said alcohol was not a factor.
