Iraq move excites Hyatt

Hotel operator Hyatt is bringing its luxury brand to Iraq, a country battered by war and political upheaval for more than two decades, in what it calls an exciting first. Hyatt has entered into an agreement with New York-based real estate firm Claremont Group to build a 220-room hotel in Sulaymaniyah — 330 km northeast of Baghdad. It is expected to open in 2017.
