Woman faces charges after pup killed, dumped

Police have charged a 23-year-old woman with beating a weeks-old puppy to death and throwing it in a Dumpster after a fight with her boyfriend in Picton. Ontario Provincial Police said they began an investigation into the puppy’s death on Nov. 18. During the investigation, police discovered the woman had assaulted her boyfriend before she killed the puppy they owned together. Police have tried to find the puppy, but they have been unsuccessful. On Monday, police charged the woman with killing an animal, assault and breach of probation.
