MINI-REVIEWS

Sydney Perelmutter, Critic, Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School: Mieka Shade effortlessly took on a seemingly cliché role with the perfect amount of believable attitude. Her tone, facial expressions and clear voice truly brought Eloise’s character to life.

John Alan Slachta, Critic, St. Mark High School: St. Paul’s cast of four grounded the play with sincere dedication. Every eye and ear in the auditorium was fixed on each character’s sincere commitment, while each gripping monologue was performed with outstanding enthusiasm.

Avery Hagerman, Critic, D’Arcy McGee High School: Sabrina Brigden captured the nosy and go-getting journalist, Christine Clark. Her monologue recounting the paranormal experience gave the audience shivers along with an eerie feeling.

Angelica Tilli, Lead Critic, St. Matthew High School: Lighting directors Mark Greenwood and Michael LaRue synchronized the flicking of the actors’ fingers to the flicking of the kitchen lights. Consequently, the bright artificial lighting of the kitchen brilliantly contrasted that of the outside, which varied depending on the time of day.
