WAG PET SHOP & DOGGIN’ IT CAFE

This is one of the few cafés in Ottawa where you can drop in for a latte and a biscotti and your dog is as welcome as you are. In fact, there is a wider selection of biscuits, cookies and other treats for dogs than snacks for people (mostly squares, scones and a few dessert items along with coffee, tea.) The place is cosy with a few tables set in the back of the pet store, which has lots of pet toys, food and other goodies. There is doggie day care downstairs.

For something special, check out their events listings. They hold dog parties ( by breed), where, for example, Portuguese Water Dogs can have a meet-up while their owners compare notes on these loving, loyal guys.
