Two stabbings in Rideau St. area

Two people were in potentially life-threatening condition after suffering multiple stab wounds in the Rideau area late on Canada Day. Ottawa paramedics said Wednesday night they had responded to calls in relation to two stabbings in the Rideau Street area. The first victim was a 25-year-old man who suffered stab wounds at Rideau and Waller streets. The second victim was an 18-year-old male who suffered stab wounds in front of the liquor store on Rideau Street. The paramedic service said both patients had been moved to the trauma centre.
